Mongoose Impasse Dual Review
Mongoose Impasse Dual Full Suspension Bicycle (29-Inch) performs as satisfactorily as advertised. Riders will appreciate the mountain bike’s adjustable rear shock. The suspension system, combined with 29’er tires, worked well in controlling rides even in bumpy and rough terrains, but sometimes the bike is a bit bouncy in flatter trails. The disk brakes were responsive and switching gears was easy with the Shimano rear derailleur. Despite the bike’s size, its weight was manageable, probably because of its alloy parts including the aluminum frame, handle bars, crank arms and seat post.
Users may need to adjust the disk brakes and rear derailleur, and upgrade the fork, rear shock, and break levers to make the bike more competitive. After some upgrades the Mongoose Impasse provided a smooth ride and superb performance. Also, bikers should take caution when pedaling because at times the pedals can trip over the front wheel when turning due to the bike’s short frame. [Read More Reviews …]
